# Context Library: Brief Amy Once, Benefit Every Task

> The Context Library is where you store reference materials Amy draws on for every task: firm overview, active deals, client preferences, and templates. Brief her once and she applies it automatically.

The Context Library is where you store the reference materials Amy draws on whenever she works for you: your firm overview, active deals, client preferences, templates, and more. Think of it as the briefing document Amy reads before every task. The richer it is, the less you have to re-explain, and the more tailored her output becomes.

## How it works

You add materials once, and Amy pulls from the library automatically on every task. There's no need to paste the same background into each request. When she drafts an email, researches a contact, or builds a brief, she's already working from your stored context.

## Getting started

Send Amy a message in any channel to add your first piece of context.

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Add this to my context library: [paste content, or attach a file such as your firm overview or a key template].
```

You can also forward a document directly to Amy and ask her to file it.

## Build your context library

Some of the most useful context items aren't documents you already have. They're things Amy can build for you. Ask her to create a reusable item once, and she'll save it and apply it on every future task. Copy any of these to get started.

### Learn how I write

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Scan my 100 most recent sent emails and build a tone-of-voice profile: my typical greeting, sign-off, sentence length, and level of formality. Save it to my context library and use it whenever you draft emails for me.
```

### Save reusable templates

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
I'm attaching a one-page company memo I like. Use this format as my standard template when you research companies, and save it to my context library.
```

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Draft a meeting-prep template covering [attendee background, company overview, recent news, talking points, open action items]. Save it to my context library and use it whenever I ask you to prep me for a meeting.
```

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Here's an outreach email I want to reuse: [paste]. Save it to my context library as my standard [intro / follow-up] template.
```

### Map my systems

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Check my [CRM] and save the fields, pipelines, and lists I use so you know what to reference. Add this to my context library.
```

### Capture my firm and people

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Here's how we describe ourselves: [paste boilerplate]. Save this to my context library and use it whenever you write about the firm.
```

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Here are my highest-priority contacts: [names]. Save these to my context library so you flag and prioritize them in my inbox and drafts.
```

## Reference items by name

Once an item is saved, just name it in any request and Amy pulls it automatically. There's no need to re-explain or re-attach anything.

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Draft a reply to [contact] using my tone of voice.
```

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Research [company] using my company research template.
```

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Prep me for my [2pm] using my meeting-prep template.
```

<Tip>
  Give each item a clear, memorable name when you save it (for example "tone of voice" or "company research template") so it's easy to call later.
</Tip>

## Pro tips

<Tip>
  * Ask Amy to build context items for you, like a tone-of-voice profile, a research template, or a CRM map, not just store documents you already have. Then reference them by name in any chat.
  * The richer your context library, the less you need to re-explain. Amy pulls from it automatically on every task.
  * Forward documents directly instead of retyping. Amy files and indexes them for you.
  * Add preferences (tone, priority contacts, formatting) so drafts come back the way you'd write them.
</Tip>
