Amy reads your meeting notes and transcripts, pulls out every action item, works out who owns it, and keeps the list in front of you until each one is done.

## What you get

* Every action item extracted from the meeting, with an owner against each
* Suggested deadlines based on what was discussed
* A running list of what's outstanding across your recent meetings
* Reminders for the commitments you made yourself

## When to use it

* You leave meetings with commitments you later half-remember
* You want one place to see everything you owe people
* You manage several relationships and lose track of who's waiting on what

## How to activate

Send Amy the notes or transcript from a meeting and she pulls out the action items.

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
From the notes or transcript of my last meeting, pull out every action item, assign an owner, and suggest a deadline for each. Flag the commitments I made myself so I don't lose track.
```

<Note>
  Pair this with Meeting Follow-Up so Amy both drafts the follow-up email and tracks the actions that came out of it.
</Note>

## Make it a routine

Make it a weekly [routine](/routines) so nothing quietly ages out of your memory.

```text title="Copy and send to Amy" wrap theme={null}
Every Friday at 4pm, go through this week's meeting notes and transcripts, pull out every action item with an owner and a suggested deadline, and send me the running list of what's still outstanding. Flag the commitments I made myself.
```
